Tread-Safe is applied to the leading edge of a stair to increase grip, improve stability and increase visibility of the step. The size of the Tread-Safe depends upon the stair size and usage. The entire traffic lane of a step should be covered with the length of a Tread-Safe strip. The width of the Tread-Safe will provide the grip for the step. Tread-Safe with a width of 2.5 inches provides an excellent amount of grip for most stairs.

CRS stair covers are manufactured with a combination of steel or galvanized substrates and coated with non-slip textures to create a strong and durable product.

Length

The length in inches to cover the entire traffic lane of your step with Tread-Safe.

Width

Products with a FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) composition can only have a width of 2.5 inches. CRS (Cold Rolled Steel) products can be custom made to any width.

Color

Tread-Safe can be coated in our standard Safety Yellow or with a Glow in the Dark coating to help prevent slips in low light areas.
